We require every therapist on our platform to be a trained and experienced licensed professional from the U.S. or Canada. Our therapists hold relevant licenses, including:

  • Psychologist (PhD/PsyD)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

Therapists must have a relevant academic degree in their field, a minimum of two years of experience, and at least 500 hours of hands-on experience. Additionally, they must be qualified and licensed by their respective state board, having successfully completed the necessary education, exams, training, and practice requirements.

  • Scenario 1: 12.5 hours per week

    • Breakdown:
      • 5 hours × $30/hr = $150
      • 5 hours × $35/hr = $175
      • 2.5 hours × $40/hr = $100
    • Total earnings: $150 + $175 + $100 = $425 for the week.

  • Scenario 2: 27 hours per week

    • Breakdown:
      • 5 hours × $30/hr = $150
      • 5 hours × $35/hr = $175
      • 5 hours × $40/hr = $200
      • 5 hours × $45/hr = $225
      • 5 hours × $50/hr = $250
      • 2 hours × $55/hr = $110
    • Total earnings: $150 + $175 + $200 + $225 + $250 + $110 = $1,110 for the week.

  • Scenario 3: 45 hours per week

    • Total earnings: $2,275 for the week.

Frequently asked questions

  1. Live Sessions (Livechat, Phone, and Video):

    • Minutes are counted based on the actual duration of the session. Please refer to the limits specified in the “Additional information and constraints” section below.

  2. Asynchronous Messaging:

    • Reading: Each 60 words written by the member count as 1 minute.
    • Writing: Each 60 words you write to the member count as 2 minutes.
    • Audio and video messages are measured by their duration.
    • Journal entries shared with you are counted based on the number of words.

  3. Worksheets:

    • Each worksheet filled out by the client is considered as 2 minutes, in addition to any words entered by the member in the worksheet.

  4. Support Groups:

    • Each group session you host is calculated as 120 minutes. (The typical actual length of a group session is 90 minutes.)

  5. Classes (formerly Groupinars):

    • Each class you host is considered as 150 minutes. (The typical actual length of a class is about 60 minutes.)

    • Eligible reported No Shows receive compensation equivalent to 15 minutes of engagement. Late cancellations (within 20 hours of session start) are compensated as 10 minutes of engagement.

      While there are no limits on total engagement with members, please note the following compensation caps:

      Live session time is capped at 45 minutes per client account per day.
      Compensation for asynchronous messaging and other non-live interactions (e.g., worksheets) is capped at 60 minutes per client account per week.
      For messaging, text from external sources or templates sent to multiple clients does not count towards your word count. In cases of severely imbalanced communication, where one party writes more than double the amount of the other, compensation may be adjusted. However, exceptions ensure fair pay for engaged clients who may send fewer words.

      In live chat sessions, idle time—significant, prolonged pauses with no typing from either party—is not counted towards engagement time.

Payments are processed weekly, with each week of services considered from Monday through Sunday. Your first payment typically arrives 5-7 business days after the completion of your first week. Most therapists receive their payments in their accounts on Mondays. For instance, if your service week ends on July 28th, 2024, you can expect to see your payment on Monday, August 5th, 2024
